Parallel CoParent ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Platform. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect: Account information (name, email, password). Profile information (optional co-parenting stage details). Platform content (messages, incident records, expense entries, journal entries, documents you create or upload). AI interaction data (inputs you provide to AI tools and outputs generated). Usage data (pages visited, features used, session duration). Payment information (billing details via our payment provider; we do not store full payment card numbers). Device and technical data (IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide, operate, and improve the Platform; process account registration, subscription, and billing; generate AI-guided responses and documentation based on your inputs; send product updates, beta communications, and account notices; respond to support requests; monitor usage to improve the Platform; comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. AI Data Handling
Your inputs to AI tools including messages, drafts, incident descriptions, and other content are processed to generate responses. Your data is never used to train AI models, never shared with third-party AI providers for training, and never made available to other users. AI processing occurs in a secure, isolated environment. We do not sell your data.
5. Single-User Privacy Architecture
Parallel CoParent is a private, single-user platform. Your account content is never shared with, visible to, or accessible by the other parent or any third party except as described in this policy. No co-parenting connection feature exists on this platform by design.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share only with: trusted service providers (payment processors, cloud infrastructure, analytics) under strict confidentiality agreements; legal authorities if required by law or court order; successors in a merger or acquisition with notice to you; and others only with your explicit consent.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No transmission or storage method is 100% secure. We take reasonable steps to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account exists. Upon cancellation of a paid plan, your account moves to the Free tier and your data remains intact. If you delete your account entirely, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access your personal information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; receive data in a portable format; object to certain processing.
10. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and analyze usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can control cookies through your browser, though disabling them may affect functionality.
11. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Contact us immediately if you believe we have inadvertently collected such information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
